The month, as you know it

"From the 1st I'm asking the same clients for the same invoices and bank statement. Half send late, and my junior spends the first week on the phone."

Whether the return is GST, VAT or sales tax, the first step is the client's, and it is the one that slips.

What changes

The client is asked, not chased. Priya puts the client's email or mobile number on the step "Send last month's invoices and bank statement". The client gets one message with her name on it, opens it in any browser, types a 6-digit code and attaches the files. No app, no password, nothing to pay.
Each person is told when it's their turn. When the papers land, the junior is told to check what arrived. When the manager clears the return, Ravi is told to file; when the client pays, he is told to file the rest.
A dated record for every client. What was asked, when it arrived and when it was filed stays on the run and in the Shared journal, for the day a client says "you never asked me".

The ready-made: Monthly GST return

Eight steps for one client's month, from "send the papers" to "file and attach the acknowledgement". The client holds two of them; your firm holds the rest. Set it to repeat and a run starts on the 1st of every month, one per client. The dates in the step text are yours to edit when the rules move.

Also ready: Month-end close, Quarterly compliance filings and Company annual filing.

What the client sees

That run, with their two steps marked as theirs, and nothing else of your firm's. They answer "On it" or "Can't do it", attach, and tick done.

What it does not do

RunOps does not file anything or connect to your filing or accounting software; the "file" step is a tick a person makes after filing where they always do. It cannot yet refuse a tick that has no attachment. The firm stays responsible for the dates.
